What is it with Stores and Accidents?

I went to Winn Dixie this evening with my daughter and I stepped in Water (a little bit of it). I took the napkins out of my purse and wiped off my feet and my flip flops (I didn't want to slide) and got my husband's beer from the refrigerated shelf and took about 3 steps and found a LOT more water! I slipped!

I could feel myself going back and I grabbed the basket's handle with all my power to hold me up! I was pissed because I had had a similar accident 7 yrs ago (May 25,2003) at the same grocery chain, but different store! All I could think was here we go again!

My daughter asked the person behind the seafood counter for some paper towels, told him what happened and so he called for a mgr and got me some paper towels. I again wiped off my feet and flip flops as I didn't want to slip again and continued to shop.

The MGR came and found me in the store and asked me if I was ok. I thought that was nice to have that be the first thing he asked. lol He was a young manager, but a nice one. He took the accident report, I told him I went backwards when I stepped in the water and felt myself slipping but didn't fall and I thought my back was hurting just from the strain of my all of a sudden trying to do a back flip! lol He also took my name, phone number and address and told me if there was anything I needed to call him.

My back is still hurting a bit. I'm going to take some Aleve and hopefully that helps it go away. I really don't want a redo of 7 yrs ago! I sued them and they filed bankruptcy in the process and I didn't get crap! Everyone who were suing them didn't get a dime!

So please take it from me, look down while walking in the store near refrigerated cases, because you never know when you'll find water!

Wow......time flew by! I can't believe we've been married for 1 year already! I still ask myself if that day really happened, but I have all our wedding photos and the marriage license where I can see them to tell me yes!

See we met when I was 17 yrs old on a blind date. After he stole a kiss (I didn't slap him) and the evening was over, I knew he was the one for me. We just clicked, became best of friends and have remained that ever sense.

January 21st 2010 made 27 yrs that we have been together, and he made another one of the best days of my life happen on 5/22/09 (The first was the birth of my daughter, the second was meeting him). I had 30 days to plan the wedding, it was a small intimate wedding full of love and joy and I couldn't have asked for more.

I wonder how our cake will taste tonight! We traditionally put 1 slice in the freezer to share on our 1 yr anniversary. I hope it still tastes just as good as the day we were married.
Plans are to spend the day together :)
Dinner will be BBQ Pork Steaks, fries, baked beans and probably green beans.

Happy 27th Anniversary!

Today is the anniversary of when my husband and I met 27 yrs ago! We met on a blind date, through our friends who were dating and no longer together now. 27 yrs ago they thought they were doing a nice thing by matching two of their friends up, little did they know they were so right in the match up!

Waiting for the weekend

I so can't wait for the weekend! I just can't wait to get this week done and over with! It's only 5pm and I am so tired! LOL It did rain a few minutes, but I do think it's that medicine I took last night. My chest was sore, so I took a pill to make it go away so I could get some sleep!

We were suppose to sell our van today, but I guess the guy changed his mind. He didn't answer when my hubby called him and he never passed by. I'm hoping that he just got tied up and will come by tomorrow or later this evening.

I just feel bored! I hope that passes and soon. I hate being this tired and it's not near time for bed!

3rd anniversary of my Aunt's passing

On May 6th,2005 at 9:06pm my Aunt passed away. I remember that day like it was yesterday. I remember her holding on to my hand and not letting me leave the room. She wanted my sister and me by her side, so there we stayed.

I miss her terribly. She use to call everyone darling and she had those super big hugs when you needed one. I never thought I'd miss that as much as I do, but those are the 2 things that always stood out about her.

I could talk to her about anything and know that I wasn't being judged. She offered advice and it was up to you if you took it or not. Most of the time I took the advice and ran with it. She was a very smart woman. She had no children, so her nieces and nephew were her kids in away.

I didn't post this on that day, I was trying to do everything I could to keep busy. So I decided to upgrade a blog I have and as I am finished with that one, I will upgrade another one soon.
