We Paid Off A Bill!!!
Last month I posted that we were working on getting out of debt. You can read about that here. It's really happening! Check this out! :)
Last week we paid off our washer and dryer! I was jumping for joy! I couldn't believe it, one bill down and a few more to go! I felt like I could finally start breathing a little. This was a weekly payment and now it's gone!
Our other bills to get rid of is our 42" TV
My laptop
Both will be paid off before Thanksgiving! The TV will be first then the laptop.
Then there's our 3 credit cards! Yep we have them. I don't mind though. They have actually helped my husbands credit score come up and we are paying them on time. So they aren't a problem for now. I do want to pay them off as soon as possible though.
What about you? How's your getting out of debt coming along? Are you starting to breath a bit?

10 Tips for Making Life Easier and More Efficient While On The Go
Socialmoms and Seattle's Best wanted me to post on 10 things that make my life easier and more efficient while on the go. While I don't have little tikes to tote around, I still get pretty busy at times and when I have to leave home at an early time, I make sure I grab a Seattle's Best Iced Latte!
My husband and I set up our dr's appointments for early morning and if we are grocery shopping, we try to get out early to beat the heat. On July 1st my husband had an MRI appointment for 7:30 am, no time for coffee, so I grabbed a can of Seattle's Best Mocha Iced Latte (reviewed here) to drink on the way. I'm actually addicted to these! They are low in calories and very affordable!
Ok getting back on the subject
Here are my 10 tips on making life a bit easier.
1. Start early! As I stated above, we like an early start to our day to get everything done, then we don't have to feel like our day is wasted waiting.
2. Use a day planner or calendar. I have a day planner in my purse to keep track of appointments we have and if anyone wants us to do something, I can have a quick look and see if we can or can't do it. It's so much easier to have it with me then at home on the desk.
3.Make a list of things you need to do during the week or month. I spread out my housecleaning. I know most people just want to get it done, but I do one - two rooms at a time. I only have 4 rooms to clean, so no biggie to spread it into two days! This could also fall into the category of using the day planner.
4. Have a Cell/Smart Phone. I don't have a smart phone, just a cell, but my daughter has a smart phone and she has all kinds of apps on it. She showed me all the fantastic coupon apps she has and I absolutely LOVE them! Can't wait for September, my contract is up and I'm getting a smart phone!
5. Shop Online! If you can't find it in a brick and mortar store, check online! I find some fantastic deals online that I would not find anywhere else! I just got a $40 all glass scale for $20 from Walmart.com regularly $40! Awesome deal! I've received quite a few things that were of $0 cost with the deal sites they have now.
6. Don't try to do it all in one day! My husband has 3 days off and we plan what we are doing when we are doing it spread out for 3 days as to not to over exert ourselves.
7. Keep a reusable tote in your purse or car. You never know when you may need a tote bag. I needed one the other day and I had one nice and handy in my purse. lol I have one that folds into a pocket and small enough to put in my purse. Nice for toting anything in
8. Keep your pantry, fridge and freezer stocked! You never know when you may have unexpected guests and when you get hungry, you need to feed them as well. lol We had that situation already. My daughter and her husband popped in and they stayed quite awhile! We ended up with Pizza for delivery instead of what we were going to have because it wasn't enough for 4!
9. Cook extras! When we grill, my husband always cooks more than enough so that we will have left overs. This is so easy during the week when neither of us want to cook. lol
10. Always count your blessings! I always thank GOD for my family, awesome friends and the wonderful things I can do online! I have a best friend who lives in Alabama. We've never met, but we became best friends just by talking online and on the phone. She helped me during a really bad time in my life when I had to have surgery in January 2011 and I ♥ her!

We Are Getting Out of Debt YAY!
In 2008, my husband and I moved into the house we are living in right now. Upon moving in, we had 1 little issue! We had no refrigerator, no washer and dryer and no bed or bedroom set!
Without having good credit, people are forced to go to Rent To Own places when they are in need of furniture. That's what happened to us! We were in debt up to our eyeballs with Rent A Center! Our Washer and Dryer payments are $30 per week, our bedroom set was about $35 per week and our refrigerator was around $40 per week, so that's a total of around $105 per week, or $420 a month we were paying out!
In August 2009, we managed to pay off our Bedroom set and then we paid off our refrigerator around December of 2009. After we paid off our refrigerator, the mgr of Rent A Center called and told us we had a $100 Gift Certificate to use if we wanted it. Aaron's Rents had a sale of their big screen TV's for $99 per month for 2 yrs. My husband and I had discussed getting a big screen TV and I wasn't sure I wanted one, Rent A Center does match ads and with that $100 Gift Certificate, that was a free month to see if I wanted it. So our first payment on our 42" big screen TV was in February 2010 and we are almost finished paying it off!
We are still paying on the Washer/Dryer and I'll be done paying on it by July 15th (3 yrs paying on it), then I am doubling the payments on the TV each week, making it $60 per week and will be finished paying on it in about 8 weeks after I pay off the washer/dryer.
I am so happy to feel that we will finally be out of debt! I'm paying on my laptop at Aarons, but I'll be finished by November if not sooner and that's earlier than the 1 year contract I had to pay (Feb 2012). I won't be getting anything else from RAC or Aarons after I'm done!
My husband wants us to finance a car, as much as I want to, because I know we need a car........I'm considering saying NO! I can't handle any more debt at this current time. I need a breather from bills. lol The only thing that will change my mind is if his boss gives them back their 40 hours and their 5 hours over time! That's almost $200 extra on his check and I can handle that because I haven't had that in 2 yrs, so I won't miss it! lol

A Nice Surprise From My Husband
My husband was watching HSN and found that Jennifer Lopez has a new perfume out called "Love and Light". He taped it and showed it to me. He knows my daughter is a super Jennifer Lopez fan and I'm not a super fan, just a fan. lol
He found it on again on HSN and I watched it. I heard her say "I don't like an over powering perfume" and I thought out loud "I'd love to get that, but $50 ($58 value) is way too expensive!" I'm a very frugal person and would never really consider that price for any perfume or cologne and my husband knows this. He leans over and tells me "If you want one, buy one for you and get one for T ", that's his nickname for our daughter. He then said "you know you never buy anything like that for yourself and you haven't purchased any perfume in a while".
I then picked up the phone and called the number to order 2 bottles or her new perfume! This perfume won't be in the stores until September 2011 and this size bottle won't ever be in stores, it was a special sexy 2.5oz bottle for $49.95 + shipping (3 flex plan payments of $17) for HSN customers only! I don't wear a lot of perfume and it's hard for me to find perfume I like. I'm praying that the "not an over powering" perfume quote from Jennifer Lopez is correct.
I don't buy off TV and I hardly order online, so if I am doing it, it's something my husband or I really want! I got notice this morning that the bottles have been shipped and UPS should be delivering it in about 7-10 days and I can't wait! lol I love when my husband does stuff like this. Yep I ordered it, but he wanted me too!
My husband was so excited, he had to tell our daughter, but made her guess by turning on the DVR and told her to guess. Her eyes lite up and got a huge smile when she saw Jennifer Lopez Fragrance! lol She gave her dad about a dozen hugs. Just to remind you, she's 28 yrs old not a kid. She is so excited that she'll have the perfume before anyone else and a special bottle very few will have! lol That's a special gift from dad to daughter :)

What is it with Stores and Accidents?
I went to Winn Dixie this evening with my daughter and I stepped in Water (a little bit of it). I took the napkins out of my purse and wiped off my feet and my flip flops (I didn't want to slide) and got my husband's beer from the refrigerated shelf and took about 3 steps and found a LOT more water! I slipped!
I could feel myself going back and I grabbed the basket's handle with all my power to hold me up! I was pissed because I had had a similar accident 7 yrs ago (May 25,2003) at the same grocery chain, but different store! All I could think was here we go again!
My daughter asked the person behind the seafood counter for some paper towels, told him what happened and so he called for a mgr and got me some paper towels. I again wiped off my feet and flip flops as I didn't want to slip again and continued to shop.
The MGR came and found me in the store and asked me if I was ok. I thought that was nice to have that be the first thing he asked. lol He was a young manager, but a nice one. He took the accident report, I told him I went backwards when I stepped in the water and felt myself slipping but didn't fall and I thought my back was hurting just from the strain of my all of a sudden trying to do a back flip! lol He also took my name, phone number and address and told me if there was anything I needed to call him.
My back is still hurting a bit. I'm going to take some Aleve and hopefully that helps it go away. I really don't want a redo of 7 yrs ago! I sued them and they filed bankruptcy in the process and I didn't get crap! Everyone who were suing them didn't get a dime!
So please take it from me, look down while walking in the store near refrigerated cases, because you never know when you'll find water!

New Look!
As you may have noticed I am making a few changes to my personal blog. This is the Thesis theme created for Blogger! I downloaded it here. It's not the thesis theme I wanted like Wordpress has, but it will do for now. lol I'm thinking about changing my bargains4wahms layout to this one too!
I'm not quite finished as you can tell the menu bar needs to be created, but I'll be done soon. Hubby's outside cutting grass, he sent me inside because of my headache, but I keep going outside to check up on him.

I LOVE this song!
I'm not a stranger No I am yours With crippled anger And tears that still drip sore A fragile flame aged Is misery And when our hearts meet I know you see I do not want to be...
I heard it on Vampire Diaries and forgot to look up the song, well tonight they had the repeat of when Stefan and Elaina got busy and I looked up the song. Now if I could find the RINGTONE for FREE I'd be happy! lol
Plumb - Cut lyrics
I'm not a stranger
No I am yours
With crippled anger
And tears that still drip sore
A fragile flame aged
Is misery
And when our hearts meet
I know you see
I do not want to be afraid
I do not want to die inside just to breathe in
I'm tired of feeling so numb
Relief exists I find it when
I am cut
I may seem crazy
Or painfully shy
And these scars wouldn't be so hidden
If you would just look me in the eye
I feel alone here and cold here
Though I don't want to die
But the only anesthetic that makes me feel anything kills inside
I do not want to be afraid
I do not want to die inside just to breathe in
I'm tired of feeling so numb
Relief exists I find it when
I am cut
Pain
I am not alone
I am not alone
I'm not a stranger
No I am yours
With crippled anger
And tears that still drip sore
But I do not want to be afraid
I do not want to die inside just to breathe in
I'm tired of feeling so numb
Relief exists I found it when
I was cut

My Amarylliss Plant
I received an Amarylliss Plant for Christmas from my husband. He knows I love plants and I always wanted an Amarylliss, so he surprised me with one. I planted it on Christmas evening after everyone was gone. I kept the box so I'd know how the plant should look at how many weeks, etc.
Well, I took pictures on Jan. 18th which was 24 days after I planted it, then on January 25th when it made 1 month (31 days) and on Feb. 1st when it was 37 days or 7 weeks.
This plant is HUGE! lol I never knew it would be that tall! It leans towards the sunlight and if I have the heater on, it leans towards that! So at the moment, it's leaning on my TV Stand

Something Funny Happened At The Store Yesterday!
My husband and I went to the grocery store yesterday and as we are walking down one of the isles, this guy says "Hey What's Up KID ROCK!" I actually thought since my husband responded with a "Hey" back, he knew the guy, so I asked who that was. My husband told me he had NO idea who it was, but "apparently he thought I was KID ROCK!" LOL I started laughing and continued laughing while talking with my husband.
Now this is the second person who thought he resempled Kid Rock, the first one was A LONG time ago! I really don't think he looks like him, but love teasing him when Kid Rock has been spotted and it's my husband! LOL

What Do You Do WIth A Broken Heart?

As all my readers know I lost my dog Duke on August 13th. I can't say our time apart has been easy, because it hasn't. Loosing him was just like loosing any family member I have lost. He was like my son.
My daughter called me last week and told me that one of the ladies (mom of a child she watches) at the daycare asked if she knew of anyone who wanted a puppy (Chow/Lab mixed like Duke), she has 8 all together to give away. My daughter thought of me and I talked with my husband about it and he said he'd think about it.
Well, I thought since he said he needed more time, he was considering it and was going to say yes, especially since he told me on Friday he was leaning towards NO, but could easily change his mind to yes. What a LEAD ON!
Today at lunch he told me he doesn't want a puppy. He doesn't want the hassle of training it. He doesn't want this or that! Never mind about ME and what I want! I understand that he is greiving too, but he doesn't seem to understand me and how I feel. He said we'd get one after the holidays, but that isn't good enough to me. This is a pup in Duke's breed and I want it!
I need a distraction, I need another animal to get my mind from thinking about Duke all the time! Dukes birthday is on the 20th of November and then there's Christmas and I really don't want to see the holidays. I don't want to go thru out Christmas stuff, I don't want to see Duke's ornament and stocking......It's going to be too hard!
What do you do with a broken heart? How do you get over it?

Man Is It Storming Today!
I'm trying my best to keep my mind occupied and the weather just isn't helping!
Duke and I had a special bond yes, I can blame it on weather! lol Duke hated thunder and lightening and I do too. The last storm we were in, Duke was right by me, not moving and shaking. I on the other hand was screaming at the thunder and got so scared of the lightening, I jumped over him and was ducking!
See that storm hit real close to my home! I heard the thunder hit something and I saw the reflection of the lightening on my keyboard. Duke was there for me even though he was just as scared.
Now for the passed 2 days it's been thundering and lightening and I just try to ignore it (I know that isn't good). He isn't here for me to hug and pet and talk to.
Just feeling the depression I guess. I'm doing better than I was last week (Thursday), but I still miss him, still cry for him, still hurt. We got a sympathy card from the vet staff and I couldn't read it. Brian had to remove it from my hands, as I was crying as I was trying to read it. The wound is still too fresh in my mind. I'm trying to work on the collage I want to make, but I don't think I can do it right now, for the reason of I cry. Maybe, hopefully next month I'll be ok enough to do what I want and not cry or feel miserable.
I wish the storm would end. My washer and dryer are on and I'm on the computer. I don't want either to break because of a storm.
Well, I guess I just needed to vent a little!

My Day Today
Today was suppose to be grocery day, my hubby and I were suppose to go to the store early this morning. That didn't happen! We slept in. lol 9:30 my daughter calls and asks if we want to go with her and her fiance to see the Disney "A Christmas Carol" Train Exhibit. Well, my husband didn't want to go, he wasn't feeling too well last night, and didn't want to go wait in the heat, but said I could go if I wanted.
So I decided to go, figured the wait would be about an hour, not too bad right? WRONG!
There was traffic when we got the the zoo/river bend, so that was slow paced. Then we park and get walking to the train when someone coming back said the wait was 1 1/2 hours. Ok not too bad, so we kept walking. We get there and are told the wait is 2 1/2 hours, but the sign is saying 1 1/2 hours, so we stayed. 2 1/2 hours later we get inside the train. Remember we are in the sun for about 2 hours~then shade the rest of the wait time.
I took plenty of pics, but would I do that again? NOT A CHANCE!! I'm tired, my back and feet hurt, not to mention both my shoulders from holding my purse that long!
I put it all on slide shows. Photobook will only allow so many slides, so I had to put it in 2 shows. One slide show is of inside the train, the second is of us.
I tried RockYou.com, but when I posted the link last night, it wasn't my slide show I was watching. So I have NO idea what the heck happened and apparently I'm not the only one after investigating.
These are pics of the crowd, my daughter, her fiance and me waiting to see the train, and after.

Does Your Dog Want To Continuously Go Outside?
My Dog is very good, don't get me wrong. He's my baby, but he drives me crazy every evening!
During the day he sleeps and hardly wants to go outside at all, it's too hot! LOL So when he does go out during the day, he goes to do what he needs to and comes back inside.
In the evening, all he wants to do is go out. He barks to come back in and 5 minutes later he wants to go back out! I'm so tired of the up and down routine. lol
My dog is 15 yrs old, but it isn't so much his age, it's the fact that he loves to be outside, and we don't have a door where he can go in and out like he wants.

Tendonitis In My Shoulder
Well, Hubby and I went to the dr and she ran some test on him, we are waiting on the results and he goes back in 2 weeks.
She examined my shoulder and I have Tendonitis, so I need to change my schedule for posting. She said that sometimes that is the beginning of carpel tunnel. I do have medicine to take for it, so I'm hoping it helps and relieves the pain.

Good Evening
Good Evening to all who reads my blog/rss feed.
Wow it's been 4 days since I posted! I have a good reason for it! My arm has been hurting me since Tuesday morning. I didn't do anything to it, I woke up with it like that. I've taken advil during the day and prescription IBU 800 at night so I can sleep.
Today my arm felt a lot better than it was, so I'm relieved about that! I am thinking it's how I sleep or my pillow (flat as heck!).
I've been trying to come up with a name for my money blog and can't. lol Everything I've read online says to stay away from the word mommy and a few others I can't remember right now.
I'm thinking about holding a contest to see if anyone else can come up with a name. We'll see!
I don't understand why the rss feed sent out a post I made back in February. lol I was shocked as heck to get that! I kept looking at it and was trying to figure out what happened! Guess it doesn't matter though.
Well, I'm just updating, I plan on doing more with the blog, just trying to figure out what to post about.
Wishing all a good night!

Life!
I'm tired, I've been having a headache every single day and today I found out our rent will be going up! The rent going up isn't bad though, it's only raised $10, so that's really good! I was holding my breath and praying when the landlord was telling us. lol
I've been trying to do this All You Grocery Challenge that is going on with the ALL You Magazine people. I'm trying the best that I can, and I'm praying I have a chance to win!
The winner receives a $1000 Grocery Card and a Year's worth of Knorr Products. It would be so nice to win that, but the only problem I see are the area's were the stores double coupons etc. To me that isn't quite fair to those of us who don't have a store that does that!
The Rules are to spend ONLY $25 per person per household. That limits me to $50 in food and drink for 2 people, you don't include your household items (tissue paper, shampoo, pet food, etc.)
This really gives you a prespective on how you spend you money too. lol I spent $32.66 at Wal-Mart yesterday and although I didn't really get a lot of food, I'm not worried because:
Anyway, I just like to update my blog on my daily things going on in my life. I will start to update on my money blog soon. Need to update all the money I've made last month!
Good Night and I hope your week is a GREAT one!

10 Reasons To Have Family Meals More Often
10 Reasons to Have Family Meals More Often
When was the last time your family had a meal together? I don't mean sitting in the car munching on burgers from the drive-through. I mean sitting down at the table and sharing a home-cooked meal.
If you can't remember when you last enjoyed a family dinner, make plans to have them more often. Experts have found – and continue to discover - plenty of benefits for both children and adults when families have dinner together at least three times a week.
I know...I know, it's not always easy, so click here if you need help with meal planning and grocery shopping.
Here are 10 reasons why you should have family meals more often:
Good For The Body
1. When families eat together, everyone tends to eat healthier. People who have frequent family meals consume more calcium, fiber, iron, and vitamins B6, B12, C and E. It could be because home-cooked meals are healthier than fast food and restaurant meals. (Source: Archives of Family Medicine)
2. Children tend to eat more fruits and vegetables when they frequently have dinner with their families. They also tend to eat fewer snack foods. (Source: American Dietetic Association)
3. Children in families who eat dinner together are less likely to be overweight (Source: Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine). This makes sense, given the findings in #1 and #2 above.
Good For The Brain
4. Children from families who eat meals together get better grades than their peers who don't have lots of family meal times (Source: Lou Harris-Reader's Digest National Poll).
So family dinners are not only good for the body; they're also good for the brain.
5. When families eat together frequently, children have better language skills compared to kids from families who don't have family mealtimes often. (Source: Harvard
University)
Good For Emotional Health
6. Children of families who eat together report feeling happier and are more optimistic about the future, than their peers who have infrequent family meals. (Source: Lou Harris-
Reader's Digest National Poll)
7. Teenagers are less likely to use drugs, smoke, and drink alcoholic drinks, when their families eat together regularly. (Source: Columbia University)
8. It may come as a surprise, but among Moms who work outside the home, those who have family mealtimes reported feeling less stress than those who had family dinners less
often. (Source: Family and Consumer Sciences Research Journal)
9. The more often teen girls had meals with their families, the less likely they were to have symptoms of depression and suicidal behaviors. (Source: University of Minnesota)
Good For Family Bonding
10. Eating together gives family members the chance to communicate and build relationships, something that both adults and children appreciate very much. (Source: Nutrition Education Network of Washington & Oprah Winfrey's "Family Dinner Experiment")
I hope these reasons motivate you and your family to try and eat together more often. We're all busy - even children have plenty of after-school activities. But as the list above shows, family meals are worth every effort we put into them. It helps to plan ahead so that we're not scrambling to get dinner ready or panicking because we don't have all the ingredients we need.
To make it easier to get the family around the table with a home-cooked meal, check out Dine Without Whine's menu planning service. It costs just a penny to try it out!

Sunday and Public Transportation
We woke up at 8 am this morning. We decided to take a nice quick trip to Wal-Mart. NOT!!
We have to take public transportation and well, we found out that there was only 1 bus on each line that works on Sunday! We left the house at 9:20 and caught the first bus at 9:25, the second bus for 9:47. We caught the buses on time to get to Wal-Mart, was in the store, perhaps 15 minutes if that and then we had a 45 minute wait for the 1 bus to take us to the next bus line to get home. We had an hour wait for the next bus.
Instead of waiting, we went and had a cheap lunch at Taco Tico! We ate real slowly as it was very hot outside and I had started to feel sick waiting for the first bus. The bus passed on time, and we were home by noon.
So our quick trip turned into being away from home for 3 hours!
In my opinion, they really need to get their heads straight and put more buses working on these lines! I know people want to have Sunday's off, but life still goes on no matter if it's Sunday or Friday and people still catch the bus on Sundays!
2 hours waiting for buses was a bit much for me today! I am so happy to be home in my nice COLD house! I'm litterally cold now. lol The AC is set to 75 degrees and I feel cold............I love it!

Is Copying A Freebie considered a Copyright issue?? If so why?
I am a member of several yahoogroups. I've been a member of 1 group for a few years now and I thought I had made a few good friends. Well, this one person I thought was a friend is really pissing me off now.
Last night I simply wrote an email to my groups asking if anyone knew if posting a freebie on your blog/forum or whatever is a copyright violation. Now I'm asking about the freebie, not anything else.
You know I got several replies telling me not to worry about it that the person who complained had to have found the freebies from someplace before listing on their blog and it was not a copyright issue. I also had someone check my blog and told me I was not in any violations!
Well, this person on one of my groups is saying it is a copyright violation (she's the only one saying this) but she gets her freebies and sends them in as well! LOL
She just doesn't get it! She keeps telling me it's there work. lol I keep telling her we aren't talking about their work, their words, just the freebie itself! This was last night.
Today she writes back all pissy! Telling me I don't understand and she doesn't have time to sit and explain it. WTH??!!! LOL I'm not an idiot! I know what a copyright is!
This is what really pissed me off with her! She also tells me I can't blame anyone else for my stress. HELLO??!! Don't even go there! What I put in that email was that I couldn't get stressed and I was pissed. Didn't put the blame on anyone there!
So my question is could you stay friends with this person?? Could you stay in the same group with this person? I hate having to decide this, I really don't want to leave the group, but I just can't stay around this person any longer.
I just took one of my anxiety pills as my chest is starting to hurt again. I thought this person was a friend, but I find today, she really isn't.
Thanks for visiting my blog,
