Dr Appointment and Female Problems

I had a dr's appointment on Friday, I had to go because back in 2008, I was diagnosed with a cyst and fibroid. Well, after having a difficult time of my monthly friend in June, my husband and sister both told me I needed to go see the dr again. So I did.  She is setting up a referral for me to get another ultra sound (Transvaginal ultrasound) done because we both think that either the cyst or fibroid or both grew because I feel it a lot more now.

Transvaginal ultrasound

A transvaginal ultrasound is used to look at the pelvic organs in women. A thin probe called a transducer is covered with a lubricated sheath similar to a condom. The transducer is then gently put into the vagina. The transducer sound waves make a picture on a TV screen (monitor).

She told me a story about a lady who is a housekeeper and she went to the dr because her hip was hurting her. They did xrays and nothing showed. They did an MRI and nothing showed. The dr started asking her questions about her cycle and she told her it was a little heavier, etc and so they sent her for an ultra sound (same one I am having) and they found a massive cancerous cyst on her uterous!

Moral of the story, if you are having problems and don't know why, go to the dr and get it checked out. Mine was caught because of a back problem (Scoliosis) that I thought I had (Chiropractor diagnosis) and don't have. I was told by a disability dr that it may have something to do with a female problem, so off to my dr I went in 2008.

Dr's Appointment Is Made

Well, I called yesterday to see if there were any cancellations for Friday and guess what, there weren't any! So I had to take the Monday appointment they had opened. Apparently it was for him to get it on a Monday. lol

Anyway, I hope this solves his problem he's been having lately. He had food poisoning about 2 weeks ago and he's still having a little problem with his stomach. I don't think it's anything to worry about at least that's what I am praying for anyway. I don't think it's related to the food poisoning either.

I just pray that this will be solved with another type of medicine instead of having to go to the hospital for testing. They NEVER give appointments for that on the days you can go, they give you the appointments they want to give and I don't think that's fair. My husband can't miss work right now. His work just cut hours last month and was making noise about layoffs again (they did layoffs last Feb)!

Doctors and Appointments!

Why is it when you need an apointment to go see the dr there is NEVER anything available!? I just called my dr to make an appointment for my husband, who is also seeing my dr and there are NO appointments available!

I told the girl I needed an appointment for Friday, my husband is having an stomach issue and he won't go to the ER for it! He doesn't like nor trust those dr's, he only trusts his dr and to tell the truth, I don't blame him!

He had an asthma problem just after Christmas! Went to the ER on the 28th of Dec. Waited until Jan 8th to see our dr and he continued to have the same issue with not being able to breathe well! He REFUSED to go back to the ER because they did NOTHING for him! Our dr gave him 5 different meds to take and he was better within 2 days! lol So you see why he won't go to the ER!

I was told we could walk in and see if there are any cancellations and I told the girl that was stupid! lol I'm not going to get there for 9am and stay the day waiting, that's INSANE! My husband would not sit there he'd complain the whole day and be very pissed off at me for doing something so foolish! So I told her I'll just call back on Wednesday and see if there were any cancellations.

I'm praying for someone to cancel today or Wednesday!

My Test Results

I had my appointment for 3:30 Thursday (7/3/08) and so did hubby. lol

Hubby's check up was GREAT! His bp was 139/85 and he doesn't have to go back for 4 months! He really is doing much better.

My update:
The dr told me that they found a fibroid on my uterus, they did not say which side it was on but it is 2cm. There is a cyst in my endometrial stripe region. She said that I would have back pain as well with this too and I told her that is what brought me to her. lol She hadn't looked at my chart she wasn't sure if she was going to charge me or not for the visit. After she opened my chart, she realized I was having pain in back and front. lol

She then gave me a prescription for 800mg of Ibuprofen. I am to start taking it 2 days before my period so I will not have as much pain and it is suppose to ease the flow some (praying on that). She said I am going to be watched for now. I go in 4 months for another pap and if I am bleeding too much or am in TOO much pain, I need to go in and see her and then she will refer me to the GYN.

Keep in mind this is a regular dr, not a GYN so I am getting good care from a straight dr. lol

Just wanted to let you all know what the dr said and what is going on for now. She said she could recommend me birth control pills as that is what they usually do and I said no. I explained why and she understood.

The dr I go to is with Daughter's of Charity, so she could not prescribe any, but she was going to tell me where to go if I wanted to do that. lol

July 4th:
The pain pills WORK! I felt absolutely NO pain yesterday morning. I started to get a little pain, but I think it was because I was doing a lot and we had a small 4th of July party with my daughter and her boyfriend, played WII games, and grilled. lol

5 Years ago today

Today is the anniversary of my accident in 2003 when I hurt my back and my life changed for 5 LONG years! I was told nothing was wrong with me, just a finding of scoliosis by an orthopedic. I was told my scoliosis had gotten worse and shown the wrong x-rays of my back by a chiropractor. DO NOT EVER BELIEVE A CHIROPRACTOR!!

I tried to get disability and was told by their dr that I didn't have scoliosis and the accident I had may have done nerve damage. So 5 years later I am seeing a dr and trying to figure out exactly what is wrong with my back.

Next apt is on June 5th. I hope we will find out something soon. Although I don't have as much pain as I did at the beginning of this month, so maybe that sleep thing he put me on that I stopped doing because I can't wake up worked. lol Who knows.

What a day yesterday

Yesterday was hubby's doctor's apointment. He stayed home from work. He wasn't sure if he could do his job and didn't want to hurt himself more, so I told him he could stay home. I was not pushing him to go to work, not knowing what was wrong with him.

Around 7:30am my daughter calls me upset about the roommate not paying them this week and they needed the money. About 30 minutes later she calls me and tells me she is coming home. She threw up at work and it was blood. Got her a doctor appt for the same time as hubby's (they squeezed her in).

Well, verdict on hubby was 180/103 blood pressure and so they did an EKG and that was fine the only abnormality was his ST that brings the oxygen to his heart. He is now on 2 blood pressure pills and also something for heartburn (Prilosec). I talked to the doc without hubby, going inbetween daughter and him to know what is going on with both. lol She said he will be fine. He goes back in 3 weeks for a checkup. I am so glad he didn't end up in the hospital.

The doc told him that going to work last Wednesday instead of the hospital he could have dropped dead, not knowing what was wrong and come to find out he thought it was a lot worse than it is and was afraid to find out. He is relieved himself now.

Daughter has a bleeding ulcer. She is on prilosec too. She needs to be stress free. I was not happy to hear this and I told her this and I told the boyfriend also. He needs to have a talk with the roommate and get rid of him if possible. I understand he doesn't want to kick him out on the street, but it is coming down to that. I don't want my daughter any worse. The doc said we caught it in time, so I am happy about that. If we keep her stress free, we won't have to worry about her getting this way again.

I had a headache from noon yesterday till today. Nothing but a stress headache worrying about the 2 most important people in my life. I need to take care of me too. I am eating healthier and trying to cut the soft drinks slowly.

Hubby has to cut beer and daughter has to cut caffine. We all have something to work on to better ourselves.

Dr. appt's made YAY!!

Ok I let hubby stay home from work today. He made me proud yesterday in working a full day with his chest and arms hurting like they were. He actually picked me a rose at work and brought it home to me at lunch.

Still could not get him to go to the ER.
Reason:"I got him to do that before and they didn't find anything wrong with him", so I got him to agree to go see my doctor. YAY!!! He knows I am very worried about him, and so I think that's why he is going to the doctor.

I just made the appointment today for Monday afternoon. I am so happy he will finally get the medical care he needs. He will have blood pressure pills and I know he has acid reflux, so that will be taken care of too. He has asthma and he works in a hot metal building, so it is twice as hot in there during those extremely HOT days.

I made my appointment for my pap test. Step 2 of me getting myself better. I am happy that I am on the track to getting myself feeling better, I wish I had done this a long time ago, but I guess better LATE than NEVER! lol

Still waiting on the Department Of Education to send me some kind of notice. I hate waiting, but I don't mind waiting when it is something like this. lol I want good news and so I am hoping NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS IS APPLYING TO THIS!

It has been 15 weeks as of Tuesday passed since they've received the form I sent in. I just hope the mail man didn't make a mistake and put my mail in someone else's box, I'll never know then. Prayers that isn't the case

Dr. Update

I went to the doctor on Monday and well, I sat for 1 1/2 hours before they even called me! I was there at 1pm my appt was for 1:30 I wasn't happy about waiting so long.

Well, I talked to the doctor and told him about my sneezing attacks and waking up every morning with a white tongue and he gave me some nasal spray. He said it was probably from dry mouth caused by my sinusis. I hope he is right.

He said I have good reflexs and he examined my back and gave me some pain killers (Tramadol) and some muscle relaxers (cyclobenzaprine). I have to schedule a papsmear, I told the doctor I read online that a problem with your ovaries can cause pain like I have too and wanted to check everything out. lol Can't blame me on that.

So, that's where I am at right now. No MRI scheduled until he gets my report from disibility and the pap is done.

I have my doctors appointment! Yea! lol

I have a doctor's appointment for April 28th. That is the first available appointment they have. I was trying to get one earlier, but everytime I call, there is nothing else available.

I have to tell him everything that has happened to me since 2003 and all about the idiot chiropractor who showed me x-rays that weren't even mine and pray he will give me a referral for a MRI. I am pretty sure after he examines me and I explain everything including what the disability dr. told me, I'll have no problem. Nervous on what the MRI will find, but I am not going to let myself get all upset over it.

I just hope it is something I can deal with and I didn't mess anything up by waiting 5years unintentionally to fix it.

I wish I could sue that dr, but I don't have those x-rays and well, I need the proof that he showed me the wrong x-rays. I know he did and the disability dr knows it too, but that is not the same as physical proof.

I will post more later after I have seen the doctor.
